I’ve been using Locket Widget for about three months now, and it’s become one of those apps I open multiple times a day without even thinking. The concept is simple but brilliant: you add a friend (or a few), and every time one of you takes a photo or records a short video through the app, it pops up right on your home screen widget. No opening messages, no scrolling—just a glance at your phone to see what your friend is up to. One thing I really appreciate is how lightweight it feels. Unlike bloated social apps, Locket doesn’t demand your attention with notifications or likes. It’s just… there. My sister and I use it since she moved across the country—little things like her cat napping or my morning coffee feel more personal this way. The video feature (finally available on Android too!) is a nice touch, though I do wish notifications for messages were more consistent. Sometimes I miss a reply until I manually check. It’s not perfect—the widget can occasionally need a refresh, and a shared gallery or group feature would be amazing—but for casual, intimate sharing, it’s hard to beat. Great for teens, couples, or anyone who values visual connection over text.
