Okay, so Endoscope Camera... it's not winning any design awards, but from a technical standpoint, it works. I plugged in my cheapo USB endoscope – the kind you get for like 20 bucks – and it fired right up. The UI is super simple, almost feels like an early Android app, but the video feed was surprisingly stable. I was able to snake it around behind my drywall to check for water damage (thankfully, all clear!). The latency was minimal, maybe a quarter of a second, which is good enough for this kind of thing. Don't expect to be blown away by image quality; it's definitely limited by the camera itself, but the app doesn't seem to add any extra noise or artifacts. It's barely using any resources, like under 60MB of RAM while running. The dev team really thought about making it lightweight, which is a plus. No more spaghetti code situations here, seems pretty straightforward under the hood.
